The point of continuous vulnerability management is not to chase every alert like it is a fire drill, but to build a system that reliably finds issues, routes them to the right people, and verifies that fixes actually reduce risk. When teams struggle here, it is rarely because they do not care about security, and more often because the program lacks a few stabilizing mechanics that keep it running even during busy weeks.
